Our food philosophy 

At Gålå Høgfjellshotell, we believe that good food starts with good ingredients, and preferably as locally sourced as possible. That's why we use what the mountains give us and adapt the menu based on the season. On the menu you can find, among other things, fish from Gålåvatnet that you have a view of from the restaurant, meat from our own farm or berries, herbs and vegetables from producers we know in Gudbrandsdalen. We make all food from scratch, with respect for the ingredients and a portion of pride in being able to serve real and as local food as possible. With us, you will know the taste of Gålå – honest, close and full of good traditions.

The quality of the fish from Gålåvatnet is some of the best you can get. Arctic char and trout from our own water and meat from the farm are therefore our brand dishes. During the summer months, we have good producers of berries, herbs and vegetables in Gudbrandsdalen. We think it's really important to have local food on the menu. In addition, we have elements of food from all over the country. All lunch and dinner are made from scratch from good ingredients. We are proud and happy to have local chefs who can prepare all the food in an excellent way.

We have a great interest in good wines together with a memorable meal. We have found exciting wine suppliers and can offer a rich selection. In the basement of the hotel you will find Anitra's Bar which is directly connected to a large outdoor terrace where you can really enjoy yourself and enjoy the view.
