At Gålå Høgfjellshotell, the food is an important part of the experience, and our chefs conjure up fantastic dishes with ingredients brought from right outside the door. The fish comes from lake Gålåvatnet you see from the restaurant, and a lot of the meat come from our own farm. We collaborate with local small producers and let the rhythm of the mountains guide the menu. With us, food is about honesty, closeness and the taste of Gålå.
In 2024, Solveig Odlo Rønn and Pål Egil Rønn took over the operation of Gålå Høgfjellshotell. With roots in Gudbrandsdalen and a strong commitment to both local food and mountain culture, they want to continue the traditions, but with a new energy and personal presence. Pål Egil and Solveig also run their own farm with sheep and beef cattle, and are passionate about short-distance food and real experiences. For them, Gålå Høgfjellshotell is about more than accommodation, it is about creating a place where people meet, find peace and experience the mountains at their most genuine.
