Pål Egil Rønn og Solveig Odlo Rønn

About us

In 2024, Solveig Odlo Rønn and Pål Egil Rønn took over Gålå Høgfjellshotell. With roots in Gudbrandsdalen and a strong commitment to both local food and mountain culture, they want to continue the traditions, but with a new energy and personal presence.

Pål Egil and Solveig are now leaving the family farm where they have sheep and beef cattle to the next generation. They also manage Gålåvatnet and have a burning commitment to developing Gålå as a destination. For them, Gålå Høgfjellshotell is about more than accommodation, it is about creating a place where people meet, find peace and experience the mountains at their best.

A warm welcome to Gålå Høgfjellshotell!

Gålå Høgfjellshotell has been a natural meeting place in the mountains for generations. As early as the early 1900s, the hotel was a popular destination for city dwellers looking for fresh air, mountain tranquillity and the good atmosphere Gålå is known for. Parties, summer stays and winter adventures were arranged here – and the hotel was for a long time one of the most sought-after places in mountain Norway.

Today, we carry on that proud heritage, but with our own modern twist. History is still in the walls – in the fireside loungee, in the view and in the feeling you get when you sit down and feel the mountain tranquility descend.
